What's the poinf of this fight ? Why boxer who lost badly getting a tittle shot right away in the new division ?
I'm not wrong at all. Spence lost a step after the crash. Rewatch the Danny Garcia fight and the Ugas fight. There are moments where Spence loses his ability to track the action and gets lit up. He completely forgets what he's doing and that he's in a fight and eats shots. This would type of thing NEVER happened before the crash. I've seen all his pro fights and pre-crash he's completely locked in. He looked like a different, slower fighter. You can say it's age, you can say it's weight, but if you've ever participated in a sport you'd know that all it takes is one little thing affecting your bounce or balance to change you. That car crash was horrific and did serious damage to Spence, no one can argue that. He was in a hospital bed for about a month. Beating two fighters after doesn't prove he was unaffected, he was always a tier above the Danny Garcia's and the Ugas' of boxing.
What youre saying is possible. Spence used to get tagged in the past (ahem, Porter) but I'll be first to admit I was never his biggest fan and never watched him closely. I bought into the hype...until he fought Mikey Garcia lol and his fanbase went wild with that amazing win/performance. The shame of it all is - Spence is the reason the fight didnt happen. Spence and PBC drug their feet. And Spence was the nut driving drunk at high speeds. Happy he survived but he couldve killed an innocent family doing that ****. I still have Spence beating Fundora
I saw Spence as the favourite in the bookies couldn't believe it, Fundora should bust him up Spence is done
Spence was dead at 147 when he foguth Crawfish, he'll still be drained at 154. 34 years old. Call it a day and invest in bitcoin
While I understand the frustration that a guy coming from a lower weight class off a bad loss is coming up and getting a shot like this, we gotta give Spence credit for the balls it takes to jump into a risky tough fight like this against a guy with freakish proportions right off the bat.
