The same way that everyone that isn't even elite that's been shorter has been able to tag him. He's not some type of elusive ghost. And the people that have tagged him were nowhere near the strength, skillset, durability, and (when he wanted to) aggressiveness of a Hagler. Let's be serious.
You and Maidana's Gun Tattoo are fast becoming my favorite, no BS posters. I don't always agree, but the arguments are always consistent and reasonable.
So this is a question asking how one of the best middleweights in history would do against a guy who has never fought at middleweight and, as of now, has never fought in an actual world title bout. I really like Fundora but this fight ends badly and this question is a tad absurd. Fundora has nothing to keep Hagler away and the Marvelous One destroys Fundora to the body. The Towering Inferno crumbles to the canvas inside of five rounds.
I’m actually shocked Fundora has made it this far getting hit the way he does. Those really tall and gaunty guys tend to have punch resistance issues, he’s definitely a sight to see.
Look, we're all here to have a discourse, sometimes we agree sometimes we don't. But I still try to respect everyone's opinion (if it's a legitimate, well thought out one, and not trolling). I've definitely been swayed to change my mind on here before lol
Erickson ****n gave Fodura hell. Not a far stretch to think that Hagler, many levels above ****n, wrecks Fondura.
I don't see Fundora trying to keep Hagler away at all. In fact I see Fundora doing what he does to all of his opponents which is inviting them into the pocket to bang it out. Hagler's best chance would be fighting Fundora from the outside and stay away from that mile long uppercut.
Don't you think Fundora has a chance ? He's underrated imo. 6'6, 80in reach. All of his opponents have their work cut out for him
