As the title says we can look forward to Zbik fighting the winner or Williams vs Martinez as the WBC have mandated this fight and installed Zbik as no.1 challenger.atsch
I believe that the WBC have mandated that Williams/Martinez fight Zbik and Chavez Jnr back-to-back. I highly doubt Top Rank will let that happen but it just illustrates how terrible their rankings are.
I thought piroq was going to fight williams/martinez, then i thought it might be pacquiao and now zbik.
Plus, don't forget that the Lemieux-Rubio winner will be a mandatory also. Zbik has been sitting on his bull**** interim title for a year and a half now though, so he deserves the shot. What he didn't deserve was to be gifted that interim title, and then he's only retained it through robberies anyway. Zbik is awful.
Zbik will either be a lamb to the slaughter. Zbik from what I have read isn't a name in Germany so he will probably be feed and put on the scrap heap. I'd find it easier to name at least 5 more deserving middleweights in Europe deserving of this rather than Zbik.
Sorry to spoil the party but just a little reminder on who Martinez is boxing next in march or lose the belt.
He won't fight Zbik, Martinez wants recognition, he's not going to fight a nobody. Unify against Sturm, maybe rematch Pavlik or Pwill, then Pirog and Lemieux if he makes it to contention.
