I don't think much of national or racial pride in general. I'm just saying that I can understand philipinos rooting for Pacquaio (I'm not philipino btw) because there are very few top philipino fighters. Plus it's a poor country. He gives them inspiration.

Rooting for a black fighter because he's black? Excuse me if that doesn't make any sense to me. It's not like it's the 1920's where there's one top black fighter in boxing. Black guys dominate all sports today. That's all I'm saying.

 

I root for Floyd because he is african american like myself but I just don't see him stopping this guy. Southpaw and deadly as they come = worst possible style you could ever invent for Floyd. If Floyd wins he will be #1 but just seems really unlikely Manny is faster, crisper and if it comes down to corner and experience Manny has that edge too. Nobody like him in the history of the sport. a crisp punching southpaw that uses both his hands has a shot against anyone any day.
