Have seen two of his fights against limited opposition. He seems to be the real deal, but I would like to watch him take on someone who gives him hell in the ring before I blow his trumpet.

I like this fight. Aydin has never been knocked down or hurt really badly his whole career. Quali is a dangerous opponent. He has good power, but, his defense could use some work. Should be an interesting match-up. But, I like Selcuk. He is a fuggin' head-hunter with quick hands and bull's eye accuracy.

Selcuk rivals Gamboa - when it comes to fighting with arrogance.

Pencil this fight in as a KO, Aydin is the only bloke linked to
the name Tyson - that deserves to be mentioned in the same
sentence, world titles await this kid, no doubt at all.

Aydin - Ouali should be a DAMNED good fight. Live chance of stealing Gamboa's show.

The good news for Aydin is that his overhand right is his best punch. The bad news is that he does his best work on the inside and looked a little sloppy getting there against Lewele. Ouali has a SWEET counter right hook. We might learn something about Aydin's chin tonight.

Did't Joan Guzman have this nickname before too? You know back when he actually had a high ko percentage?

Wasn't that more because he looks like a mini-Tyson?

Maybe but I'm almost sure its because he had a ko ratio close to 90% during his first fifteen fights.

Saw a couple of fights of him at ringside. To be honest, I would not buy too much on him. He is solid, but not in the Berto league. I doubt he ever gets a World title.

Ouali throws wide punches as well, and he has a habit of sticking his chin out there when he does, so he probably won't have much of an advantage in that department. He has a lot longer reach though, and he's a southpaw, and he can crack a little himself, so he's a live dog. Make no mistake about it though. Now that I've watched a little tape on Aydin, it seems obvious that Ouali was selected because Oner thinks Aydin will knock him out. Ouali's a better fighter now than he was against Cintron, but last time I saw him he still had some major defensive flaws, just he had improved his offensive attack a lot.

I'm interested to see if Aydin can take a punch and cut off the ring effectively. Sometimes he would be best described as ponderous. However, he's looked really solid marching people down and keeping a high guard. Nobody has seemed to bother him or distract him from his gameplan, Ouali could test that. It really hinges on whether Ouali can counter precisely when Aydin lets rip in his burts, and also keep a high activity level when Aydin is taking his rests. Somebody needs to test Aydin to the body also, he's been comfortable in the knowledge he could keep his hands up because nobody wants to take the risk of punching to the body and taking some heavy leather in return.

Should be a good fight either way.
