lots of people were talking alot of **** on how "improved cintron was" since the margo fight and how he has proven himself and blablablablablablabla i always said the same thing: LOOK AT THE ****ING COMPETITION!!!! since the margo fight, he only took on second and thirdraters!! not one true contender!!! that was the reason why he seemed "improved" ! that he hadnt proven ****!!! and now he struggles with a gloryfied clubfighteratsch so for all the cintron lovers::tong
I'm not gonna disagree with you on the improved comment. I do not for one second believe that having Stewart in his corner has changed him that much. Besides punching and grabbing. But I'll say this. I think you have to consider how he matches up with the other top guys. Forget about how he looked against Margarito for a second. Cotto, Williams, Mosely all present a different picture than what Margarito gives. The one guy from that bunch that I'd pick Cintron to beat is Williams. Mainly because Williams is such a huge target and fights with his head right up in the air. Remember that Margarito adapted to Cintron's power, he fought very small. I'm not so sure Williams can do that. Cotto-Cintron would be a terrific fight while it lasted. But I'd pick Cotto on late stoppage. That isn't to say Cintron can't catch him on the end of something. And Cintron is a great finisher when he has his man hurt. It'd be fascinating to watch.
you look at fellicianos record and call him a glorified club fighter, felicanos a rugged SOB who obviously did his homework comming into the fight, dont take cheap shots at cintron just because he was given a war by a fighter with a lesser record
Its typical Emmanuel Stewards coaching.... puts his fighters against lesser opponents or those he knows his fighter can win. Unfortunately, for Cintron, they both underestimated Feliciano and Feliciano came to fight last night. Cintron didn't look good during certain rounds. He looked like he expected a 2 round fight and was shocked the fact that the guy hung around so long. He needs to change his mindset if he intends on beating guys who have good defensive skills or an iron chin like Feliciano. I think Cintron is a guy who has the Athleticism to fight, but he lacks the naturual instincts in the ring and mental toughness to become a great champion. He yet again showed big mental instabilities in this fight. He lacks what a guy like Miguel Cotto has; that natural ability to fight.
i think he def. knows how to fight, but he was trained in a different field of fighting than boxing...hes so athletic that he just pickd up boxing and ran away with it
