Seems Bute or at least his manager is interested in Danny

I doubt this will happen. If you recall Chad Dawson expressed strong interest at fighting Green after KO RJJ, but Green said - and I quote - "would like to fry bigger fish than him". Source: http://www.smh.com.au/sport/big-fish-in-a-small-pond-20091203-k8wy.html

As much as HBO is trying to push Bute (to discredit Showtime's supermiddleweight fighters), he just isn't that big of a draw.

Also the question is what weight they fight at? You know HBO is going to poach Ward and Dirrell whom they'll match Bute up with eventually so will Green come back down in weight? He'll no longer have the IBO cruiserbelt so whats the point of Bute taking this risky fight?

Bute is NOT the only draw card in the fight!! Green has more pulling power O/S than any other locally based Aussie. This fight sells.

LoL Bute is the biggest draw at suppermiddle-weight. Bute Andrade II sold out in less than one hour of going on sale (16,000 ). Bute has been attracting over 10,000 fans since he was fighting third tier supper-middleweights such as Lolenga Mock and James Obede Toney

Biggest draw in Canada, he just isn't that well known overseas. Perhaps I should have clarified my statement. I think Kessler, Froch and maybe Ward could all stake a claim at being the biggest draw in this division.

Green's popularity could get 16,000 fans to watch him fight a good fighter in Australia and that's exactly where he makes the most money. Green would not be a major draw in Canada, nor Bute in Australia, so somebody has to give up some $$$ and fight outside.

But my point is does anybody honestly sees this happenning? Why doesn't Bute challenge the winner of Pascal v Hopkins? By then the Super 6 is done and he can chase one of the particapents.

If Pascal wins it... he will face Dawson
If Hopkins wins it... he will not want to fight Bute

So they say. Dawson is technically mandatory after the voluntary defense, but should he become unavailable Pascal v Bute would be interesting.

Wake up. This fight won't happen. No one knows who Danny Green is outside of Australia. If it did happen Bute would school Green with his skills and win a very very wide decision.

Green does have some kind of history in Montreal. People will remember his fight with Lucas. The real question is can Green make 175lbs or not.

danny can definitely make 175 , last time i spoke to him he was considering going down again as he was more sure of being a better fighter at lhw than cruiser purely for the factors of strength , punching power etc i think if bute puts forward a challenge dan would consider it. IMO greeny would bully him around the ring and get him with some uncomfortable shots after taking a bit of punishment first

It's fair to say that few overseas knew of Green until recently.

But that changed dramatically when he beat Roy Jones, and regardless of Roy being over-the-hill at the time, the sockwave of that 1st round KO was conveyed by the international media, as seen by all the articles that highlighted it on international websites.

I like Bute, it would be a nice competitive fight IMO.

You can be assured if Green is beaten at cruiser he'll drop down to 175lbs and say it was a division too big for him blah blah blah, it's actually a ready made excuse which i'd probably use as well.

But if he gets stopped badly at CW he might retire.
