Seems like Jones is purposely making the fight go the distance

Just to make the fans get their money worth? Or is it that he is so old that he can't keep an offence?

Roy was conservative after he dropped Hanshaw in his last fight too.

Maybe the demons of the Tarver and Johnson fights still float in the back of his head, but even in his last few fights before that when he dropped his opponents (Woods, Gonzalez, Hall), it's not like he jumped on his opponent right away when he hurt them and stopped them.

he's too cautious. He could of knocked out Tito after the first knockdown.

I thought that too, maybe he thought it was too early to end the fight?

Every since that moment when Tarver landed that right and KO'd Jones in Rd. #2 of their second fight...Jones has been unwillingly to fully engage his opponents. He is now way too defensive...in his prime his defense was from him having amazing OFFENSE and reflexes. Now he has toned his offense way down and he's getting hit more..because even the best defense is only good for a certain # of punches...eventually you'll get hit.

He has always done this, he's never been good at finishing fights off.

He laid off of him. Tito was visibly hurt from the first KD. Sure, we're not talking about the "Old" Roy, but he put on a good show for 12 rounds.

RJJ can't do it all time with the speed and movement, presser is the way to fight RRJ now.

Well, I think it's more ever since he moved to light heavyweight.

At 168, he finished off fighters like Byrd, Paz, Brannon, and Thornton basically the first time he had them hurt or dropped (Brannon in the 2nd).

At light heavyweight, after a couple of spectacular KOs over Griffin and Hill, Jones either took awhile to stop, or did not stop, guys like Hall, Johnson, Grant, Gonzalez, Hanshaw, Kelly, etc...all of whom he hurt or dropped.

The KO was there if he wanted it

Everytime he tried, he had no problem landing, he just didnt try hard enough, he was very gunshy for some reason. Really he could have finished that fight in 6-7 rounds.

roy could have annilihated tito but I am glad he didn't. we don't need another mcclellan incident. and with tito coming off a 2 year layoff I was hoping roy didn't go all out on him.
