Seems like Warren and Amir Khan parted ways???

I could see from day one it wasn't going to be a career long partnership. I though Warren would of seen that Khan was similar to Naz having people wrapped up round him telling him this and that and would make sure he got all he needed from Khan.

I suppose Warren will be pretty annoyed as Khan's just getting most onside and could of made numerous crap fight's for PPV and he could of milked him for all he was worth. Imo from Khan's point of view it's a good move because Warren doesn't create ATG'S he creates good records and business. Warren did a decent job but the Rubio-Prescott fiasco pretty much killed any hope of Khan staying on long term.

 

Be interesting to see how Khans career goes now !!

Coz people said he was protected by Warren, lets see if khan takes some risks and fights who he feels he can beat !!

Might make him stronger as a fighter, coz he has to make the decisions

 

I won't believe it until he picks one of Khan's opponents to flatten him. That's when you know it's over.

If it's over then I think Khan's an idiot. - the moment he gets KO'd as a result of rushing into a fight he's not ready for, he'll suddenly wish he hadn't ditched frank.

Khan's had it too good and it's gone to his head. He should take a look at the likes of Murray, Limond, ..even Ortiz and be grateful at the way Warren has managed his fast-track career and brought him back from the dead post-prescott with some amazing match-making vis a vis Barrerra!

 

I don't think Warren's managed Khan well at all.
Khan could've reached his current level by fighting much sturdier and more varied opposition then he has to date.
The majority of the people who dislike Khan seem to do so because of the lack of credible opposition on his resume to date. And when I say 'credible' I mean fighters who have a reasonably impressive ko percentage.
If he had done so, and fought Thaxton for the British title, I fight I believe he would've won, I think most would be more willing to forgive his occasional moronic utterances, which ironically are in large part fuelled by his perception of his unpopularity.
Warren may have made Khan a lot of cash, but he has played a significant part in engerdering all the negativity directed at Khan.
And besides, I reckon anybody could've got Khan that terrestrial deal.

 

What???????? He got blown away by Prescott, that was a low point, then he bounced back with a win over Barrera and then a WBA shot and then a WBA defence. All this on the back of a bad KO loss. He's been managed exceptionally well. He has one of the best trainers in the world, rich, well known etc. How could he have been managed better?

 

He still listed on Warrens site as one of his fighters.

As I stated in my initial post if he had been matched better, with a variety of opponents who expose him to an array of different styles/obstacles to overcome, that initial ko loss to Prescott may never have happened.
If he had fought Thaxton, & defended the British title once or twice, he might have even been perceived as a deserving his title shot.
For a 23 year old with a legit world title, he polarises fans like no other fighter, & Warren has to accept responsibility for this.

 

That just means that Warren and who whoever manages/ promotes Maidana couldn't come to an agreement over the purses, location etc of the fight.

Warren is able to bid for the fight and if he wins he'll promote it.

 

It was Roach's idea to fight Barrera or Morales, wasn't it?
