Seen Anything To Sway Your Opinion RE: Hatton-Pacman?

So far, from the 2 episodes of Hatton-Pacman, I don't think I've seen anything to change my opinion of a Pacman victory. Although Hatton looks quicker and is more devoted to defense now, I don't think that will help him as much as his old style of maul and brawl.

If he tries to bob and weave Pacman's leads, he'll end up following him around instead of cutting off the ring, ala Tyson in the early years. All Pacman has to do is the drill where he spins out and catches Hatton on the angle. For Hatton to win, he has to go back to his old style with Graham which is cut off the ring, take a shot to get on the inside and dirty box.

    How about you guys?

No, if anything this will make Pac's job easier. Pac by KO and im betting some good money on that, odds aren't too bad for a KO victory. Hatton has a chance with a left hook KO but I see Pac stunning Hatton early then finishing him.

Hatton is going to shock the world and fight on the counter with the skill and slickness of a prime James Toney.

At first I was giving Hatton a fairly comfortable victory. But after seeing Moorer correctly analyze the way Hatton fights, i.e "works the jab then tries to jump you with the hook" or words to that effect, I realized that Hattons style is pretty simple.

I'm still going for a Hatton UD or 8-10 round stoppage. Just not as comfortable as i first thought.

Don't understand how people are picking Pac early-not saying Pac doesn't have a great chance but to be predicting a 4th or 5th ko for Pac is a little ludicrous. He's still untested at the weight-it's all good and well saying that his power has moved up with him but we haven't seen enough evidence of this. Was picking Hatton all along, getting a little anxious as Manny looks very sharp in sparring etc but I'm going to stay with my original pick. Either way I'm a very psyched for this fight.

Yes I saw that Hatton is getting better and Roach is getting much slower.

    Hatton by KO late.

Although Hatton has shown to be improving his skills in training camp I'm still rooting for Pac to win. It's not going to be a walk in the park imo but this is going to be an awesome fight.

Why not? Pac has power...he KO'd Diaz and Holt who KD Bradley good couldn't do it after landing 19 punches clean. Lazcano stunned Hatton and just didnt have the finishing skills. Pac has hurt JMM in 2 fights now early, but JMM has very good survival skills...even when dazed he can get out of punches. We've seen Hatton dazed, he doesnt defend very well and if Pac stuns him early, he will finish him.

    Pac inside 6.

Pac seems to square himself up quite alot after throwing combo's. If Hatton has the timing Pac is ripe for as counter. Hatton should step back and let Pac lead, I reckon Moore was right his head does follow his left and he leans in. If Pac corrects it in camp fair play if he fights on instinct its something for Hatton to exploit.

I agree with the author. The 'old Hatton' is the better man for this job. Funny thing though; I think the old run-and-gun Pacquiao would be better suited for the 'new Hatton.' Manny's flaws and lack of natural inclination as a "boxer" are going to expose themselves in this fight. Speaking for myself, I believe alot of people have been very gullible in believing that Pacquiao has transformed into Willie Pep overnight. 'Old Pacquiao' is going to do whatever good can be done in this fight. Basically, we got two of the most naturally gifted brawlers in the world - and they're going to "box" each other. Funny ****.

I was confident on Pacquiao winning but when i saw Floyd teach me how to order a hard taco shell to have an addition of tomatoes at the drive thru im not so sure now.
