"Seen" that Schaefer has confirmed Canelo/Lopez. Compares it to Pac/ODLH fight.

He is defending the fight. Still reading it where I 'seen' it.

Lopez deserves this, think of all the other fighters who have the skill but not a good promoter.

The Fight is ****, but I'm happy for Lopez, not for the beating he will take.

Schaefer defends it saying it is like Pac/ODLH.

So in that parallel is Lopez supposed to be Pacquiao? :huh

Except that Canelo is 22 years old (as opposed to De La Hoya who'd been boxing competitively for 22 years at the time), and isn't draining down to meet Lopez but is inviting him to 154 when less than a year ago he was a light welterweight? :think

Yeah. Lopez in his first fight at 147 checks in at 144. He's gonna have to have rocks in his pockets to make 154 in a few months time. The only way he comes in otherwise is by carrying some fat. Other than that, yeah, basically the same.

I wanted Josesito to rematch Vargas. Canelo should have fought a legitimate 154 pounder.

I'm not sure who is worse... ODLH, Schaeffer, or Arum.

No doubt in my mind that Josesito will be entering the ring with a couple of stones. :deal

Lopez is no Pac and Canelo won't be drained at all at 154lbs. So no, its not comparable.

I hope it turns out like that fight they are comparing it to, the bigger fighter having no hope to even land a lucky punch and quitting.

If those luv handles get any bigger that might help Canelo grab on and ride him!

Schaefer trying to put the best spin on it he can. Lemons can't always be turned into lemonade.
