Not the greatest shock in the world. Viloria is a decent fighter, has some good wins but a few losses along the way in fights he was expected to win. His style is actually pretty effective for beating Segura. His upright stance and predominantly straight shots are similar to the tactics used by Canchila when he was able to completely neutralise Segura in the first fight. Haven't seen the fight as of yet so not sure if that's how it went down but as I say, I'm not overly shocked by the result. Just goes to show that Pong would have had a comfortable night with Segura I think.
Segura was a big bully now he's stepped up he's lost what made him so effective. Well done to Viloria.
Segura has always been a mentalist. Viloria was similarly counted out when he sparked Solis. Didn't think he'd have another big performance in him, but supposedly he beat the **** out of Segura. Segura is just a bully fighter. Wanna' see Wonjongkam Vs Viloria, hopefully won't be too hard to make. Thought Segura Vs Marquez was one to see, now it'll have to be either the Hawaiian Punch or Tyson Vs Pongsaklek. Doubt any of those fights will happen.
To be honest, the stoppage was kinda poor. But by all accounts, Segura got his arse kicked last night.

Brian Viloria is seriously inconsistent dominant wins over very good champions in Giovanni Segura and Archie Solis, and then struggles with the likes of Carlos Tamara, Omar Soto, Jesus Iribe. Shame Segura lost because I liked the idea of a major unification fight (and guaranteed war) between him and Tyson Marquez.
