Segura vs Calderon F.O.T.Y Candidate

It was excellent, Cotto v Margarito MK-II

Should have been the focus for boxing fans this weekend, not getting caught up in the Toney MMA bull****. Segura is a monstrous relentless beast, even though he was getting beat up badly in the first 3 rounds he never stopped coming, never got disheartened. He discovered that he could land shots to the body somewhere in the 4th and this is what swung the fight. Fair play to Calderon though, he tried to trade with Segura and put on a war with him.

I'd love to see a rematch, their styles mesh great.

 

its got my vote. I didnt think Calderon had it in him to keep going after saying he couldnt see and then come back and win the round.

 

Awesome effort by Caldeorn.. He was winning on points IMO but just couldnt hurt Segura.. The guys was strong as hell and looked way bigger man.. Guy must have put on some serious wait overnight..

Calderon was doing great but once he decided to trade with segura I knew it was just a matter of time.. Great ****ing fight!! I never would've thought this was going to be a FOTY candidate for sure!!

Great job by Sefura though.. He sre walked him down hard!!

This is defo in the my top 5. This has been a pretty good year. Pretty mmuch all of the best fights haven't been on HBO or not even Showtime this year. They have either been on ESPN2 or not on American TV. I'm hearing that the Maidana-Corley fight is pretty damn good as well.

 

It gets my vote no doubt.

It was another battle of Skill vs. Will.

Just when I thought Segura had no chance after 4 he pulls it off.

I chose to watch Corley-Maidana instead and thought it was very exciting (although not a FOTY candidate).

It seems like the only people who really missed out on a good time are the ones who ignored tonight's boxing altogether.

 

why? because a former boxer made his debut in a different sport and got beat by a hall of famer? BS. this year has been starved of top quality world title fights so I make this a good night for boxing

 

No because a master boxer got stole on by a brawler. Segura would also knock out Nonito
