    Selby discussing his plans

"Ya down the line. At the moment i would like to establish myself as the IBF Champion get as many defenses as i can and then maybe in a few years look at a unification fight."

Sounds like he intends to wait until they all move up.

His reign of british stoppage wins will be legendary.

Clevz. He beat some okay fighters before taking his beating like a man against kovalev the Krusher. He has been fighting aload of no hopers since his bellew defeat though. But he isn't a ducker.

True, perhaps I'm being too harsh but he did have a really ****ty title reign we might be looking at something similar with Selby.

A few minutes after beating Grado, he sounded confident but a few hours later not so much.
Selby could always come back after taking an L to Vasyl, I don't know why he's so scared to lose.

Selby seems like a decent guy with desire to prove himself but he wants to swerve one of the main evils in boxing today - all this 'down the line' talk. He is in his prime now and could only gain from a fight with Lomachenko. Fans aren't stupid. In this era where fights take months to organise, and then often aren't the ones we want, a good stab at the best would not take any wind from his sails. If he troubles Vasyl it's a bonus.

Seems to be the standard model now. I can't fault a guy for taking a relatively soft defense or 2 right out of the gate, but let's hope it doesnt go much beyond that.

He wouldn't win a round against Lomachenko.

Yeah. Prople tend to forget these guys are here to make a living and make money. The most lucrative way is to get big fights. Unfortunately, the 2nd most lucrative way is to snag a title and milk it like it's the last teat on earth.

Russell being a "champion" of anything is embarrassing considering that he got utterly SMOKED by Lomo.

Selby is a typical british champion - he can reign over that little island and call himself champ but he doesnt belong in the equation on the world level.

fighting Lomo is pointless. He gets KO'd late and doesnt win a single round.
