That was a legitimate count out win as well.

 

It looked more like he hit Simpson with bottom bit of his hand, illegal part of the glove.

 

I think it went up ribcage, anyone who's ever been hit there will know it ****ing hurts. I think John's ripcage was slightly up as he went in and Selbys pushed it up..

tbf Selby landed a few heavy sounding bodyshots before the stoppage.

i thought selby was going to win and he won a shade more cosily than rawlings and enzo will have you believe.


thats two KOs from selby with the inside of the glove. when he beat smith, i posted about his punching technique and how i could watch him throw punches all night. i love his punching technique. he is open to right hands but he does hit very hard and is willing to stand toe to toe with anyone.

I thought Lindsay done well to the body of Simpson before then left it early. Clearly he has weakened the body of Simpson and Selby has benefited from it

 

Maybe Simpson hurt one of his ribs earlier in the fight and Selby caught him on the right spot :think
