Lee Selby will face unbeaten Viorel Simion on Betfair's 'The Homecoming' bill at the MS3 Craven Park in Hull on July 13.

Any time youre facing an unbeaten guy its a decent fight.

His opposition hasnt been that great but i think he has a decent ranking with the wbc so should be a good win for selby.

Selbys on a good run at the minute and hopefully he can carry his momentum on to the next level after this.

Come forward,no head movment bit of a ''european type fighter'' but just a bit more versatile.
    Very busy but zero power.

    Selby should win.

Great fight, Simion is no push over. Celestino Caballero ducked him for the WBC silver title, but still lost it to Castellanos.

Simion is an all rounder, does not posses something out of the ordinary even tho he has above average speed, decent body puncher. He's the type to come forward slowly calculated with a tight guard, ducks beneath you're jab and hooks at you, he uses his jab decent enough to trouble you, has rallies(hits in combos) when he get's you on the ropes, or in the corner. Also has decent footwork and good technique.
At pro's he held the WBC Mediterranean and holds the WBC International, ranked 4th by the WBC, even tho If I remember correct he was ranked higher before Caballero ducked him, he was 2nd or 3rd. He won a bronze medal at the 2002 Europeans and 2005 World Championships in the AM's.
He's a solid fighter that want's to get his chance at a world title, he was aiming for Ponce De Leon. His fight for the WBC silver was announced and then cancelled as Caballero replaced him with Castellanos because he feared him.

His nickname is "The Bomber" but he only has average power.

I find these ''...he feared him...'' lines pathetic in general especially in these type cases.

Caballero had no confidence, and he was right about it. He lost even to a worst opponent.

Business decision,a title eliminator agisnt the silver champion was the right move vs a lphabet contender.

Him losing shows how much on the decline he as.

And I'm not sure Castellanos is a worse opponent,he just had the usual mexican ride on the ladder but has been undefeated for a number of years.

What i will say, is that this is a better fight than Selby's last fight vs the Aussie 0 % KO guy. That was a joke and a waste of time.

Simion is a lot better than that chump but will have ring rust and a height disadvantage to contend with. I expect Selby to win, stoppage mid to late rounds.
