Indeed I did - and when I said it, it was true. Styles and physiques make fights - A fresh Lee Selby with his size and range was a real threat to a short stubby counterpuncher like Carl. But Lee was only a shadow against Josh - JW beat the weight drained ghost of poor Lee Selby. Frampton wudda probably stopped Lee last saturday. Rewatched it again since and confirmed my original view - tremendous effort and incredible fitness from JW - but to be frank with you it was quantity more than quality - more heat than light. Josh couldnt knock the skin off a rice pudding or snow off a clothesline.

Lee was no different in that fight than hes been since he won the title. And actually that is the best ive seen lee on the scales for a long time. U can go back as far as brunker and match the images up, he looked a lot worse back then.
Lee was as good as the opponents that are in front of him, thats the truth here. When he gets into a rythm hes very good. Josh didnt let him get into a rhythm, u have to give credit where its due.
Thing is len u keep going on about levels, that was exactly what i was hearing leading into this fight but boxing isnt just about levels, otherwise frankie gavin would never of been beaten by eggington. Frankie who was a world level am technical dream was beaten by someone who came from the white collar scene.
There is something called intangibles in boxing and these are the areas that u just cant quantify.
Heart, desire, will, toughness , sacrifice, strength, overcoming adversity and much more.

Then there is strategy and tactics.

Levels is only one ingrediant in the mix. I do agree its one of the main ingrediants but there is other important parts that are played.
