Bruce was a decent heavyweight , great physical attributes, fabulous potential, and looked like being a future title threat.. (circa 1989) Then in Atlantic City whilst leading on pts it all went pair shaped... Oliver McCall gave Bruce his 1st loss........... Then a short while later Bowe did a severe number on him.... Even Jose Ribalta had him on the floor in the first round... I think when a man has tasted that kinda defeat before.. He gets hit flush (or in this case NOT) and he tends to look for the soft spot to lay down......... Bruce was a good talker.. But was doomed even before his hands were taped and wrapped........
And he was another heavyweight that held those hands low. And brought them back low > punching. Once you start fighting the guys with tools, those small warts all of a sudden become reasons for losses & more along the lines of fatal flaws.
I agree.. One of the best technical Jabbers in the game... But also one of the most fragile of psyches.......
