Usyk has already surpassed Ward Better amateur, better pro, and he isn't a have gloves won't travel deck-stacking serial cheat who refused to sign on the dotted line unless he had every advantage that could be wangled in his favour wangled in his favour and refused to allow a solitary neutral judge for the rematch against Kovalev after his three home judges in the first fight robbed Kovalev of all his world titles he'd had to work so hard to get his hands on. And Ward's style was super heavy reliant on the use of illegal tactics and fouling the crap out of his opponents all night which, duh, is much easier to get away with if you always have home advantage, which Ward did for every single one of his fights against world class competition, whether it be hometown, home state or home country, and you have hometown, home state (23 from Cali), or home country refs, which Ward did for every single one of his fights and a freakish amount of home judges even for all his world title fights, like very often a full set of three. Every single one of Usyk's fights against world class opponents have been in his opponent's backyards sans one which was on neutral soil and he's had a grand total of one home judge in all of his world title fights and never a home ref. Ward would never dare do once what Usyk has done in every single one of his world title fights and Usyk wins his fights via clean boxing, zero fouling and zero deck-stacking or advantages. They're literally the antithesis of each other. One embodies everything that's right, noble and great about the sport and the other... No fan with a shred of integrity or a moral compass would value what what Ward represents over what Usyk does Do you think Usyk would ever refuse to allow neutral judges to be appointed to work his fights? Again, Ward never dare do, and he categorically refused to, once what Usyk does religiously Ward said I will never travel. I will never travel to your country or hometown to fight you. I will never fight you on an even playing field. I will only fight you on one which is heavily stacked in my favour and I will foul and cheat incessantly when I do so. I will only fight you when I'm rolling with loaded dice. Usyk says I will fight you in your hometown where the deck is stacked against me and I will beat you via clean boxing with no unfair advantages or a deck stacked in my favour. Basically this is a choice between good and evil. That which is holy and unholy. Right and wrong. Moral and immoral. You consider Ward and what he embodies and represents >> over Usyk and what he embodies and represents you're not only not a true fan of the sport you're a terrible human being. The most filthy dirty fighter of his generation This content is protected
Ward talented at finding a way to win but often went over the line and outright cheated in his biggest win. I'm not a Calzaghe nut hugger but I wouldn't have Ward anywhere near any conversation of ATG. Career too short, fought in his own backyard all his career, cheated in his biggest fight, boring to watch. Completely managed career with zero romance, excitement or joy.
Who did cotto ever beat so amazing he struggled every big fight he had his best win probably Mosley a close fight every other big fight was found wanting his bs wins at middleweight are a shambles I picked ward above GG so dno why you talking about that
I understand personal preference. But you’ve still got to be fair and analyse their skills, their wins and their accomplishments. There’s not a significant gap between Ward and Joe.
Sorry but this post is full of ****. I understand you love Usyk which is fair enough but Ward’s career was exemplary. Let’s see the last leg of Usyk’s career play out such as his rematch with AJ and other top heavyweights for a sincere and honest appraisal of his full career.
Your comments are really not worthy of a response as you are essentially saying the likes of Mosley, Clottey, Margarito, Martinez and numerous other he beat where nobody. This Cotto gave Mayweather, Canelo and Pacquiao arguably their toughest or some of their toughest fights. I remember Floyd after his fight with Cotto and I was there at ringside saying what a tough mother****er Cotto was.
I would have Cotto over the cheat Margacheato everyday of the week a disgrace to his country. It was so bad even his wife left him because she could no longer take being married to him and the stain it carried. Frankly he should be incarcerated for his crimes.
@C.J. you are actually an interesting bloke to talk to when you are not going on about your friend El Cheato Margacheato.
