It's how organisms behave. The idea is to protect yourself from harm. It's instinctual and natural. When a high risk low reward fighter is an option you run the other way.

You better be ready to accept mayhem on your person if you fight GGG. Look at the last guy he fought. He quit on the canvas. He couldn't even wait to quit on his stool.

GGG is starting to be a star so I would say he is a very high risk good reward fighter. His opponents are getting payed better than in other MW fights.

While you are correct in your estimation that the one they call Triple G is starting to become somewhat of a star; HBO still aren't putting enough money behind him to make credible opponents (Cotto, Quillin, Jacobs, Lee, etc) even think about stepping into the ring with him, and thus, giving him that crowning glory.

I've actually resigned myself to him being the star who never was. The Champion with no glory.

It's called risk/reward and I don't hear you complaining about Golovkin's team claiming that there isn't enough money in a fight with Andre Ward, which is the exact same thing as Cotto, Mayweather, et al are basically saying about Golovkin. I guess he'll just have to continue beating up no-hopers until someone who is a big draw decides to do him a favor by fighting him.

Ward is too high risk/low reward for Golovkin at this point, just as he is for Cotto and Mayweather, especially when they have far more lucrative options out there.

Ward is no reward for GGG. GGG won't make a profit.

How much money would Cotto be missing out on if he fought Golovkin instead of Canelo? Far more than Golovkin has ever made in his entire career, that's how much. Like I said, risk/reward doesn't only apply to team Golovkin.

Exactly. It's self preservation. Why get paid so little and take a beatdown.

It's why everybody wants to fight Floyd.

Get massive payday and lose on love taps. You get rich and no physical harm.

I actually wouldn't mind Cotto not fighting GGG so much if he wasn't currently holding GGG's belt. If Cotto put his belt in the mail tomorrow, I would care a whole lot less if they fought.

Lemieux, Lara, Ward, and DeGale all said they would fight him. I think the Lemieux fight gets made of Lemieux wins.

How much did Daniel Geale bring in for Cotto?
Canelo n Cotto draw regardless of opponent.
No excuse to not fight GGG other than they don't want that ass kicking.

More than Monroe brought in for Golovkin. :deal

Cotto is looking at a far more lucrative fight against Canelo. Golovkin would rather fight Froch than Ward for the same reason, but you can't see that because you're a blind nuthugger.

    Answer my question, swagf*g.
How much did Geale bring in for Cotto?
Canelo and Cotto both fought a complete waste of time rather than fight each other or GGG.

More than Monroe brought in for Golovkin, that's how much, and Monroe was also a complete waste. Now it sounds like Cotto and Canelo will be fighting each other and I bet you your boy Golovkin will go on to face yet another no hoper. :deal

Canelo and Cotto don't want it.
Both would be KO wins for GGG. Lara gets KOd too.
You are running out of swagf*g heroes.
Better hope Ward can make 168!:rofl
