Self-preservation is more of an insult to Ali than Pacquiao

Ali is famous for his shuffle as Michael Jackson is to his Moonwalk. He did a lot of cute things in the ring to entertain his fans with his cocky brand of showboating.

"SELF-PRESERVATION", termed by writers, is a temporary withdrawal from actions without obviously looking like he needed it. Ali improvised a lot with his fancy moves to steal the audience attention while at the same time, to catch some air in between.

Ali did his 'SELF-PRESERVATION' inside the ring.

Floyd gave it a new meaning a few days ago. Self-preservation to justify his fear of getting inside the ring with Manny. Self preservation is supposed to be an in-ring tactic, not an off-the-ring excuse.

What a big insult to Ali and to all boxing fans. If only Floyd is as smart with his mouth as he is with his boxing skills, gullible dorks will keep on believing him that he really wants the fight.

From a business perspective you have to give Pretty Boy LOTS of credit. However from the perspective for the overall well-being of the sport, the best thing that could happen is for him to get brutally knocked out cold. We need a power vacuum in the P4P rankings and also heavyweight.

Next thing you know, Floyd will demand that nobody punch him and the face.
