The comment can be taken many ways, but most people have been taking it as ducking, but ducking with an excuse. What if: Sergio Martinez- Miguel Cotto- Brandon Rios- Victor Ortiz- Andre Berto- Manny P- Tim Bradley- Amir K- or any other well known or somewhat known fighter had an interview and spoke of self preservation? Would it be more socially acceptable, or would it still be duckin?
duckin its duckin pana, self preservation applies more to endangerous species. pac and floyd for example ducked each other and as far as i know tonight gamboa is duckin Rios.
asere you really have completely given up on this rios/gamboa fight i see......i still actin like it'll happen until i hear otherwise......i will admit though the self preservation quote kind of took me by surprise.....took some creative thought...
self-pres·er·va·tion (slfprzr-vshn) n. 1. Protection of oneself from harm or destruction. 2. The instinct for individual preservation; the innate desire to stay alive. Floyd used this word to formally say he's ducking Pacquiao. Either way, it's still ducking. LOL desire to stay alive? LOL I would fear for my life too If I were Floyd. He talked so much **** about Pac it ain't funny.
i said as far as i know tonight gamboa is duckin...he probably comes up with a good excuse tomorrow( i really dont know what)
I just saw on another thread that Top rank mentioned that Gamboa has an extended contract. LOL here we ****ing go with politics again.
In my opinion Floyd is Floyd's worst enemy. I honestly don't think he is scared of Pac, and if they were to fight I can only see a boring and wide decision for Floyd. Yet with the stupid **** that he spews, he makes it seem like he is scared of Pac beating him.
Come on you have to be honest with yourself. Floyd has no reason to duck your guy. Even on paper he has more skill. Honestly I don't understand why Pac hasn't become independent because he is the only boxer with a whole nation behind him and he still accepts a check from Bob Arum. That's the craziest part of this whole scenario outside of you thinking that Floyd would duck any legit fighter.atsch
He ain't ducking , the fight's still on , he just don't want to be the favorite in this one , it's better for him to be the underdog for this one , good move . He will show up in L.A you'll see . Peace .
If Floyd is as good as people says he is on his defensive skills, then he should be able to preserve himself while he is in the boxing ring with Pac. I guess even Floyd doesn't believe in his boxing skills if he fights Pacman, that's why he makes sure they never meet in the ring.
his responsability is to sell the fight in his hometown, not in LA, thats Rios place.Horrible move.Instead Rios and Garcia making friends in Miami. what this have to do with being the underdog?
