Thank you everybody for making this tournament such a success! Last round we had nearly 900 votes between the four matches. It was incredibly hard fought and came down to the wire with two matches, but here are the results:

(1)Lewis def. (9)Foreman 50%-50%, with Lewis' seed score giving him the tiebreaker.

    (2)Vitali def. (7)Louis 69%-31%

    (3)Ali def. (6)Tyson 61%-39%

    (4)Holmes def. (5)Wlad: 50.5%-49.5%

We now continue with the SEMIFINALS of the All-time heavyweight Head-to-Head tournament.

As a reminder, here are the rules:
    • Best of three fights.
    • 12 rounds
    • 20 x 20 ring
    • 10 ounce gloves
Boxers and their camp are given extensive footage of their opponent and have a week to prepare a game plan.
Boxers are in peak physical and mental condition in their absolute prime.
After each fight, the fighters are magically restored to their pre-fight condition, but retain full knowledge of what they learned from their opponent and have another week to prepare a revised game plan.

    (1)Lennox Lewis vs. (4)Larry Holmes

Please also vote for the other semifinal matches:

The first round starts tentatively, as both fighters show great respect for each other's abilities. Larry opens with his trademark jab, and his lateral movement is keeping Lewis from letting go of his hands. Still, Lewis' size is a problem for Holmes, who hasn't landed much aside from jabs himself. This battle will inevitably explode, but for now it simmers as the crowd remains tense...

Unlike the Holmes-Wlad and Ali-Vitali fight, this would be a very close and competitive down to the wire fight, whereas the other two would be near shutouts for both Holmes and Ali.

Lennox - more power, more size/reach
Larry - better jab, chin, speed, and in my opinion slightly better technician but not by a lot because Lennox is good

Larry will take a close decision unlike what would be his domination of Wlad if they really fought.

Lewis would dominate him down the stretch. Way too much power/reach.

And Lewis's boxing ability can match his.

Larry's jab would be troublesome but Lewis will adjust.

Gotta favor Lennox here. I do think of all the great's Holmes matches up the best against Lewis, but Lewis is still my pick.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Holmes winning the poll despite having almost no chance in reality just like against Wladimir.

the truth is wladimir has no chance whatsoever against a legit HW, seeing as he never beat one in his entire career, just like his brother. So i don't know what you're talking about

"seed" score? no need for fancy words. Say it like it is - robbery via hometown decision.

My recommendation is that you reduce the number of alt accounts until you can flesh out the individual personas for each. Personalities are running together at this point and too many are simply ham-fisted copycats of each other.

ESB has a long and fabled history of trolling. Honor that tradition by trying to elevate the art, not reduce it to the lowest common denominator.

    Thank you.

Holmes would out box Lewis by large.

Past prime Holmes in his 40's gave Mercer a boxing lesson who later went and gave Lewis an ass kicking.

After Macall ko'd him in two he was very lucky to get a decision against an even older Holmes.

Bruno was out jabbing Lewis. Tucker made him look amateurish even though Tucker was past his best by 8 years.
Vitali made him look like an uncoordinated oaf.
He never picked himself off the canvas to win , could never come on strong late in a fight or score a late KO.

78 Holmes hands and feet were too fast and would expose his bad food work worse than anybody he ever faced.

:patsch You can't outbox someone if you're not the better boxer.
