Thanks for the kind words Rev, u know the respect is mutual. :smooch Stoo you're a nasty beast, buts that's why we luv ya! Seriously, what the **** was wrong with that guys nuts? Crabs or too tight a nut guard?:huh Look I'm not gonna disagree with anyone's top 5 list these guys are all great fighters, I just tend not to judge fighters purely on the stats and particularly their records, they dont alwsys show the full picture. Thier devotion to the sport and how they handle themselves out the ring also figures for me and I always have a bias to MT based guys. The thing people forget or or not take into account with Mr Perfect is his pre K1 life. He was ruling the european MT and kickboxing scene through much of the 80s! Europe for big lads at that time was the centre of the HW kickboxing MT world. Hoost had been fighting at the top for over 20 years before Sammy even showed up. Hoost was part of that group of early Dutch pioneers along with Dekkers, Kamen, Hippolyte etc. what the guys given to the sport over the years in and out the ring is worthy of HOF status. One other thing I tend to argue primes in this sport are around mid 20s and in that early era of the 80s Hoost beat Aerts under "proper" fight rules not abbreviated K1 rules. Aerts is another one of that godly group of early fighters that demand worship. I'm not gonna argue "who's better" when we have names like Aerts, Hoost, Hug etc these guys are all combat gods. As I said before they have given so much more to the sport than guys like Sammy, who as I fighter has achieved a lot but in the big overall view of the sport doesn't have the status of those early legends, I don't blame him for that, timing is everything in life, look no further than Buakaw for proof of that!
He got kicked in them rather forcefully. And I don't appreciate Wanderlei Silva being referred to as "that guy" :-(
