The best chin I've ever seen on a fighter, this guy can take a real beating, but who do you think would have stopped him when he was healthy and focused? Yes he's been stopped before, but that was definitely a coked up unfocused version of Cobb. Discuss.
I'd send in Tyson. His attack would be harder to ward off than a Foreman who would be my second choice. Tyson would just keep coming at him and the gulf between their skills allied to Tyson's hand speed and punching angles would be horrific imo. You could see a Foreman's punches a lot easier than Tyson's.
I think Tex had a terrific chin, but like lots of those iron chin guys he sure didn't like it to the breadbasket. He gave you his head and kept his body covered. So the body punchers like Frazier are going to be tough on Tex. Foreman. Joe Louis, of course. Another guy with a good shot was ****ey. That fight would have been nice to have seen happen and that left hand of Gerry's to the body is not a punch to ignore. To the liver. And Tex is directly in firing range with zero head movement for that left uppercut. But if Tex can weather 6 rounds of damage, I think it's the other guys turn to start absorbing. Another guy getting Tex out of there was the fight that was supposed to happen--Weaver for the title. Man, those left hooks Mike dug in there were not the kinds of shots to take a diet of absorbing. Actually, that's about the only guy out there w/o the speed advantage on Weaver. But Tex would sure hang tough but Weaver keeps that power for all 15 rounds.
I agree with zadfrak, body punchers would be the best to deal with Tex. Such as Frazier, Tyson etc. No one can just knock him out from working the head alone. That's not to say that they would knock him out, but they are more likely to knock him out.
