Fury put Hammer down in the second round with a glancing blow.

Wach fought to the best of his abilities when he put away Hammer.

Fury toy'd with him in second gear and made the man quit on his stool.
Hammer wanted no more of Fury's tip taps but thought nothing of Wachs power shots.

 

Kind of like Puritty, who Wlad supposedly still wouldn't be able to overcome. I don't think Ross is a bigger puncher than Wach or a better fighter. Both are just big durable guys who can pressure and hit hard.

And if you don't like the Wach example so much, I provided two others.

I don't see a basis for the "Wlad is in trouble when a big puncher lands" comment.

Bowe is renowned for his infighting abilities. Wlad couldn't deal with that level of skill imo.

 

Prime Bowe who took Coatizer apart hammers Wlad.

Golota had a greater overall set of skills to Wlad. Which was why he was very competitive against Bowe- who was on the slide.

 

It would have been nice if :

1.You had acknowledged that Fury dropped Hammer before stopping him.
2.That Hammer was an 8 fight novice when he met Wach and not a "fringe contender".

1. If that reads as me denying Fury knocked him down, my bad. My intention was that Wach scored the KO, and Fury could not put him down for the count, settling for a corner retirement.

2. Future fringe contender..whatever you wish to call him.

 

Fury didn't settle for a corner retirement ,the guy quit before he could knock him out. What a specious load of twaddle!
I call him a 6-1-0 novice which is precisely what he was when he fought Wach

I had no intention to deliberately misrespresent the rather easily antainable fact of Hammer's record at the time of the Wach fight or the events in a fight that just happened this year.

I offered a compromise on the "novice vs fringe contender" semantic argument and the "quit before he could knock him out" argument is just stupid coming from you given your past claims, but I have awknowledged my wording could have been better on the other matter. There's nothing else I can do.

 

Did an accidental low blow cause Pierre's face to look like tomato pulp?

The doc's were considering ending the fight after the first round and no low blow occurred till the 7th.

I don't know why Bowe doesn't get the credit he deserves for that performance.
He looked great against a brave warrior with a chin made of steel.
The low blow only happened because Bowe was forced to attack the body.

Not even Foreman could hurt this guy up top. The commentary noted how Foreman had to go downstairs because his chin was too good.

That Bowe runs through everybody from the last 15 years with ease.
