I seen a video where nazeem said Hopkins was never dominated in sparring. Which is quite rare.

I think anyone wanting to outbox Hopkins would have to have big power as he's just too cunning and resourceful to be decisioned otherwise.

There's guys that would do it at 175 but to be fair Hopkins, despite his great success there was a tad unsuited. I do beleive however that by the end of his 160 pound reign he was being weakened by having to make the weight long term. He was ridiculously conservative in his punch output by the end and what most of us simply attributed to old age was imo being drained. You could see the extra life, energy and strength in him as soon as he moved up. He was revitalised imo.

So in more recent years i could see Spinks and Eddie Mustafa outboxing him for sure. Mustafa was a very smooth counter puncher with enormous power behind his sometimes lazy style. The harder Hopkins pushed the more danger he would be in. I don't think he;s big or powerful enough to outbustle Eddie.

Michael Spinks would be the same. He was often lazy earfly until waken up and would probably be content to outpoint Hopkins in that herky jerky style of his.

Hopkins is a great fighter tho and he'd have his moments against them. Both are just so big, powerful and talented however and would make it almost impossible for a non natural 175.

At 160 tho Jones didn't beat an even close to prime Hopkins the 160 version we did see of Jones would still be a good chance. He'd be a good chance against any 160 even tho well short of his peak.

Nunn would be awkward. Giardello a bit undergunned i think. SRR would more fight him than box him. I think he'd spoil against Hagler and probably win. Not many i like at 160.
