    Michael Spinks was 199 lbs when he beat Holmes the first time. And while I’m not sure what passes for “ old time” heavyweights, the fight I’m referencing happened 40 years ago. I think Michael could have possibly pulled it off against Briggs if his knees were in good shape and he didn’t get caught too many times

    Jerry Quarry at 196lbs beat Briggs all day not to mention the ATGs who would beat him. Briggs was durable but beatable.
