Fighter must be 180-199 on fight night. No weighing in at 199 and weighing 209 on fight night. Could say, a 1950 Ezzard Charles beat Tokyo Douglas? Eddie Machen?

I’ve got bad news for you, Buster. I like you, but you ain’t gonna like this.

You’ve got a prime 197lb Joe Louis staring at you across the ring before the bell rings. He just got married and would really like to go consummate his marriage. You’re in his way.

    Good luck.

Most great 20th century heavyweights were 185-200 at some point in their careers and most would find a way to beat Douglas.

I think Douglas having to get off the canvas awoken something in him, so fast/slick boxers that wouldn't necessarily floor him, Patterson had the speed, Holyfield had the counters

Marciano probably floors him, so what does Marciano do differently when Douglas comes on? He wouldn't be nearly as upright as Tyson, crouching low

Holyfield was only 9lbs heavier than 199lbs when he beat him, and I think Holyfield could weigh in at 199lbs and defeat Douglas, even the Tokyo Douglas.

Tokyo Douglas did beat Tyson, but he didn’t beat a wide range of styles.

Jimmy Young on his best day may well beat him, Louis, Walcott, maybe some others that will come to mind later.

Edit: Charles and Moore could, they’re a bit small, but it’s doable, Moorer could also.

Could they do it while weighing below 200?

Doesn't count if he's above 199 on fight night. If he weighs in at 199 but comes in the ring at 209 or 219, he's a heavyweight.

Louis was 197 when he ran over Carnera.
