Al Gainer gets the job done, he beat Galento who was 30s Lennox Lewis anyway

I disagree. I think Louis’ more patient approach opens the door a fair bit more for Lewis than does Dempsey’s whirlwind assault. The prime Lewis of his later years was slow, a lumbering beast. He’d benefit more from Louis’ methodical manoeuvring than he would against Dempsey’s Tiger offensive.

On the more interesting side, how about Jess Willard? We know he's got the power to do it, and he's certainly going to be able to hang around a while. It would be hilarious and sad probably, but Willard might have the best chance to actually land the punch.

    Dempsey would Willardify Lewis.
Louis would Schmeling him to the canvas.
Willie Meehan would beat LL in a 4 rounder and ONLY in a 4 rounder.

Make it a 45 rounder. Tilts the odds strongly in Willards favor.

Both Golota and Ruddock already suffered losses in some of the most savage wars on film against elite heavyweights when they faced Lewis. 2x apiece with Tyson and Bowe. They were both ripe for the picking.

I've knocked out Lewis sized opponents in my boxing days as well. Should I be favored over Lewis as well?

Fred Fulton perhaps? Converted southpaw who could switch to southpaw when he wanted. Listed often between 6’4.5 and 6’6. From 1915 until he meets Dempsey in 1918. Goes 37-2 with the two losses being dq’s and one Dq was sketchy originally declared a win. He rematched the opponent and knocked him out in 2. Rated in Rings top 100 punchers of all time and with 72 career Ko’s he def has the punch.
