Stop with the bad information. Wills was not 25 when he first meet Langford. Try 21.

Wills born 05-15-1892 fought Langford on 5-1-1914. Nealry 22 if you prefer.

@ McVey, Any reply on Dempsey himself saying he avoided Langford twice? No comment from you? Gee I wonder why

Wills 6'3" you say? Calling BS there. 6'2" is correct.

You can't even reply without making a mistake! And you don't even realize you made another one, which is FUNNY.

Unless you can produce Wills birth Certificate, no way should anyone here take your word as you made too many mistakes to count. Wills birthday on May 15th 1889 may be correct, but I'd like to see proof. But your age given for the 1st Langford fight is still incorrect. Might the 3rd time be a charm :)

Not my word ,Kevin Smith's actually and Klompton will back it up.
    As I said.
Wills was 14 days from his 25th birthday when he first fought Langford.
Black Dynamite,The Sundowners, both have my date ie the correct one,you have the wrong one, taken from Box Rec.Now don't you feel a prize ass, trying to correct me!lol
If you want to ask me any questions make a thread and Ill answer them, until then have the decency to keep your Johnson/Dempsey hatred to yourself ,you pathetic idiot.

We don't want it polluting every bloody thread!

You said Wills was 25 when he first fought Langford. Wrong. Even with the aid of others you still screw it up. Just admit that mistake. Also, Wills is not 6'3" tall as you claimed. Ask for help, they will tell you! More backpedaling? Seriously I suggest you write to whom you got your education from and get your money back.

I'm open to Wills actually birthday provided a person who researched found his birth certificate. I

Okay I'll ask a question which you. Do you agree with Dempsey's words on avoiding Langford twice? Go for it! I have nothing against Dempsey, I call it as I see it.

Ive no desire to get into a long pointless argument with you.
I didn't contact you by personal messenger, you contacted me the other day ,and I told you not to do so again.
I want nothing to do with you.Wills was two weeks short of 25 years old when he first fought Langford.
I wasnt even debating with you,I'll tell you what happened, you saw my statement and checked it with Box Rec.Seeing they did not match ,you thought you saw a chance to make some cheap points, unfortunately, for you, your source was wrong and you ended up with egg on your ignorant face.
If you want to debate any aspects of Johnson , or Dempsey's life start a thread on them.Dont pollute everyone else's threads with your irrational hatred.
McGrain has told you he doesn't read your posts on Johnson as there is no point.70's Fan has asked you to stop ****ing up his threads with your hatred for Johnson.
When will the penny drop ?Nobody is interested in your opinion of him, nobody gives you any credibility ,either on Johnson, Joe Louis,or Dempsey. So give it a rest ,we dont want to know!
    Got the message?
Make your own threads and you can do WTF you like.

I think Dempsey would catch up to Harry at some point, but Mr Greb might make Jack look silly for a few rounds before that happened.

I can't really think of any LHW that would be favoured over Dempsey.

Now if I could send in a cruiser then that's a different story ;)

I'd like to cheat and pick 3 modern guys that I'd like to see.

Let's say Kovalev, Beterbiev and Hopkins. That's a nice range of styles from an excellent ranged boxer (Kovalev) to a heavy handed physical beast (Beterbiev) to a tricky rythmn breaking hit n holder (Hopkins). Between the three of them I'm guessing he'd drop one.

I think it depends on the version of Dempsey TBH. Spinks would beat the 1917 version. He'd also beat the Versions who fought Tunney. He wouldn't beat the prime one though.

Spinks would be the best fighter Dempsey ever saw. Same with Moorer.
