Send in Roy Jones Jr. Send in Mike Quarry. Send in Virgil Hill. Send them in. One by one.

My stock answer to these is usually Michael Spinks, but I’m going to pull a primed-and-ready 175-pound Ezzard Charles out of hte bullpen to handle Quarry. Too precise on offense for a Jerry you can’t miss if you tried and slick enough to not wait around for Quarry’s receipts.

(Michael could maybe handle him too, but figure he’s earned a rest since I keep sending him in to beat up heavyweights on this forum.)

Just out of my mind: Bernard Hopkins and Billy Conn should be able to take out Good Old Jerry.

I am not 100% sure they manage to stop him (other than cuts) by I am confident they get a UD.

If they have to be no more than 175 then that drastically limits the field. It would need to be someone who’s fast, skilled and doesn’t walk into counter shots. I’m guessing either Michael Spinks or Roy Jones would be good candidates

You know what, I think RJJ could do a job on Jerry. His speed and being extremely hard to hit would make a huge difference

I didn't realise this was supposed to be a thing. Like, Quarry holds some position as a light heavyweight killing machine from heavyweight? Is this a category? Is Quarry the light heavyweight champion of heavyweights who are heavyweights? I'm really confused.

Quarry was a fighter who was basically good at everything, buy in order to beat him, you only had to be great at something that he was merely good at.

    Only.!

He was known to beat the bejesus out of his brother Mike. It is common for older brothers to beat up younger brothers but, in the rare case that both are professional boxers...Jerry's record against light heavies is something like 73-0.

No way Billy Conn beats Jerry, I can name 10 Quarry wins who would have beaten Conn. La Motta can beat Quarry too right, Jerry would knock good ole woman punching Jake out of his shoes!
