I believe in the 1976 Golden gloves at lightweight, Aaron Pryor defeated Tommy Hearns. It can be seen on You Tube.

Hearns is too big, but if I was forced, just for fun... Ike Williams.

No, the Duran of Montreal was head and shoulders above the guy who showed up against Hearns in their fight at 154. Tommy had to resort to boxing and moving against Leonard at 147 because he couldn't keep Ray off him. He wouldn't have kept Roberto off either.

The criteria is the opponent I choose must have boxed professionally at LW and the fight vs Hearns can occur at any weight? If so, Langford at HW/CW would be my pick.

I actually was thinking that!!!! Pea was very awkward I just think Hearns would pot shot him on the outside with the jab.

If we’re including EX lightweights then Henry Armstrong should be given a chance. The man was an absolute beast

If the " lightweight " remains a lightweight, against Hearns at welterweight??
    NO ONE.
Sure Pryor pulled it off in the amateurs but Hearns was a teenager against a grown ass man in Pryor.
Also Hearns hadn't learned how to get leverage on his punches until he became a pro.
Than, he went on to become the hardest punching welterweight in history.
There's no way in hell Aaron Pryor survives longer than 3-4 rds against pro Hearns.

I know it was a heavy Duran but if he gets annihilated in two, even at Jr. Middle, it’s hard for me to imagine Chavez not only beating Hearns but destroying him. Really hard.
