Which guy that Liston beat from 1958-1962 would you send in to beat a prime Foreman? IMO, Machen would be the best bet because of styles. @Kid Bacon might send in Roy Harris
Strangely enough I’d give Patterson the best chance. I could see his hand speed giving Foreman fits tbh. Foreman while by no means nearly as slow as depicted on this forum was a fair bit slower than Liston, and not nearly as accurate. Patterson will be able to avoid far more of Foreman’s punches than Liston and as we all know Foreman’s stamina was definitely lacking, if Patterson can make it past the early rounds then maybe just maybe, oh who am I kidding.
I have my doubts that anybody from the Liston era or before (except Louis) could beat the best Boomer heavyweights.
