A plea for Margarito to see jail time is based on an assumption. Fact is that he was never proven guilty of doing anything wrong in the ring. He has never been found guilty of ever throwing one punch with loaded wraps.

This is why he was only suspended for one year and wasn't criminally prosecuted.

 

You're trying to tell us that they suspended him and his trainer for one year based on assumption?, seriously. I can't believe there are so many delusional people about this still after all that happened.

They took his ass to court and proved it right there with enough witnesses that the man's wraps were NOT RIGHT. That's what lead to their suspension and they didn't ASSUME they saw wraps, there were people in there not only Richardson and all saw it including Margarito and his trainer who BOTH admitted they didn't know it's illegal playing their desperate lying attempt which lead to what the court decided. There was so assumption when you have BOTH guys admitting they used illegal wraps but didn't know it's illegal.

 

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing him on the canvas again. If you expect him to come back mentally strong after a thrashing like that and a forced suspension then that's a death sentence right there and I'm looking forward to it.

i never stated that anyone assumed that he used illegal wraps...there you go again, Scar. His wraps were indeed proven to be illegally treated. That is not up for debate. Whether or not he ever used illegal wraps during a previous fight is the allegation which has never been proven. This is the assumption. Based on the fact that he was caught using illegal wraps before the Mosley fight, a plea for jail time is based on the assumption that he is guilty of using the illegal wraps during his previous victories including the Cotto fight.

The poster implies by the picture he uses in the first post that Margarito used these wraps in the Cotto fight. That's what I was referring to. You assume too much, Scar.

 

Technically, Margarito has never been proven to have thrown a punch with the hand wraps on. This is why he only received a one year suspension and no criminal prosecution was ever entertained.

 

It's not just that, they haven't even proven that he knew he was going to use illegal wraps in the Mosley fight, if they want to prove that why don't they get a group of say 20 boxers and wrap their hands with the regular stuff and with the illegal wraps that Margarito was going to use, just to see if they can tell the difference, if they can't you can't prove that he knew what was going on, and it wasn't his trainer.

 

He's said to be bleeding from his EARS after the fight... Margacheato should be banned from boxing at least for a couple of years.

 

Was this guy not caught with plaster in his gloves? At the least he should be banned from the sport.
