in fainess to Boxing History and to the classic HW pre mid 80s (generally speaking), I think the Giants need to be ranked as such. Seperated first because they are a different animal and then ranked among themselves before being slotted back into Heavyweight H2Hs.

the criteria for the S-HW division is over 6' 3" and exceding 225lbs.

I recognise that Lennox Lewis is most likely the best S-HW of alltime, but H2H the cream of the classic heavyweights I believe would beat him.

So proper evaluation of the 2 different divisions I believe gives a more accurate standing point from an historical place.

example, (and looking to the experts here, as I am not in tune with all the true S-HWs...

    LL
    Big Klit
    Bowe
    Tucker
    Carnera

once proper placement is established historical H2Hs matchups, the elite HWs vs S-HWs are more realistically played out!

There is no defined definition of a super heavy, but I tend to think a boxer can be considered when he clears the following numbers in shape without fat: 6’3” 220-225 pounds, 78” reach. If he is 6’4” or more at 230 and a has a reach greater than 78”, he is one for sure. Not enough time has passed to create a super heavyweight divison, even though the sub 205 pound fighters are pretty much out of business at heavyweight since the 1990's.

    how tall was Savaresse?

I know it's early in the thread and there should be more names to come, but surely Tucker fits in with the 10 you've picked.

lennox lewis for sure is the GOAT in this category. vitali klitschko as second, and wlad, bowe, and some others would also fit in. ill make a list later on.

surely there are a couple of dozen names from the past, and at least 30 in the last 20-25 years S-HWs. Gathering 50-70 names is a good and honest start.

remember the criteria for the S-HW division is over 6' 3" and exceding 225lbs.

    Ernie Terrell
    Tim Witherspoon.

C'mon Carnera was much better then Valuev, Savarese and Mclin. As a overall boxer was probably better the BB

My take, based on realities that happened in the ring.

There are no body fat points in this list.

    1. Lennox Lewis
    2. Wladamir Klitschko
    3. Riddick Bowe
    4. Vitally Klitschko
    5. Primo Carnera
    6. Jess Willard
    7. Fred Fulton
    8. Tony Tucker
    9. George Godfrey
    10. Bill Tate

    Lewis
    Wlad
    Vitali
    Bowe
    Carnera
    Willard
    Tucker
    Fulton
    Golota
    Spoon

For the record i'd say a superheavy is anyone bigger than foreman.

There is some merit in differentiating huge heavies from the rest but comparisons are still valid.

at least he wasn;t wifed like Lennox was , and actually carried his opponents , and fact he never fought past Haye , which might have some indications on his health in that fight.

Valuev is a shocking choice for top spot. He received plenty of gifts and fortune.

    Donald, ruiz, mccline, holyfield.

Stop this. SNV took it easy on a great version of Evander and still accidentally knocked him down many times. Watch the unedited fight. It was a masterclass.
