So having thought about the scheduled Mayweather Vs Ortiz fight- Ortiz is young and is hungrier than ever before. He has natural talent and power. IF he goes into this fight with the mentality of "I will win no matter what" ala Berto fight I lean toward him wearing Mayweather down. (side step body shot on Floyds left side because Floyd is shoulder rolling) Why would anyone turn down a 50 million dollar guarantee to then turn around and fight someone for what 3-4 million (not including royalties) Albeit not as dangerous as the 50 million fighter but dangerous none the less. I have a feeling the fight will fall through at the last minute. Something is telling me Floyd and his people thought this is the best way to calm the storm of him not fighting Pacquiao. Like a FREE PASS until then and when an injury postpones the fight. Who's to blame? Guess we will sit back and wait to see what happens.
If the fight actually happens, I gotta take Floyd by decision. Since we haven't seen much of him in the last 4 years, it's hard to say what exactly he has left, but chances are it is still enough to outpoint the less experienced and slower Ortiz. I like Ortiz and his win over one of my favorite fighters(Berto) was hard to swallow. I will be pulling for him to win, but it's so very highly unlikely.:rofl
Floyd 119-109 easy pickens'. Floyd, though i don't care for his antics at all, in the ring he will tactically destroy Ortiz in my opinion. And FFS, Floyd isn't pulling out unless theres a real injury issue. He's picked his fight, needs a payday, its happening me thinks.
