I had Derevyanchenko 114-113. Either way there were enough close rounds that it's hard to call it a robbery.
Derev won many rounds big. Munguia won one round big. The wrong guy won. Derev should have won by the same margin that they to Munguia.
Derevyanchenko's big rounds were a lot bigger than Munguia's big rounds, but they weren't necessarily clearer. I felt it was overall a fairly clear fight round by round, 114-113 Munguia or 114-113 Dervyanchenko, it's just that the overall fight itself was close/unclear.
I didn't get the chance to see it but I saw DAZN had 114-113 and then said Derev was robbed. How the f do you call robbery and you had it by a point. Unless the scorer was somebody else.
Most definitely not a robbery. SD's legs gave out even before he got hurt. He's just old. JM is a tough kid who showed some mettle, but he's going to get KTFO soon if he doesn't improve his defense.
Serg should retire. What a warrior, just amazing. If he was a few years younger, he would of knocked Jamie out. Unfortunately the knockdown in the last round cost him the fight.
Because Derev was beating the crap out of him in some rounds, while Munguia's rounds were just barely. Chris Mannix said Munguia needs a Ko or at least a couple of knockdowns which he was close to getting.
Its Canelo syndrome, if Derev didnt beat the crap out of him on a given round, he would lose the round.
Close fight that I thought SD did enough to win but no robbery. He deserves nothing but respect regardless. What a warrior.
I considered giving Derev the 5th round 10-8, he put a hurtin on him that round. But to my astonishment I had Munguia winning round 6. Somewhat lost in all the scoring hoopla was this is probably the fight of the year and in todays lackluster matches that was a blessing.
