For a European heavyweight prospect, Mazikin is someone you need to not only defeat but look stellar against if you want to be taken seriously.

 

This one is mostly over; just the co-main events are left after this heavyweight tilt.

So it should not overlap with those others too much, possibly even no overlap whatsoever. :thumbsup

Unfortunately the Neubrandenberg and London cards will directly conflict and choices will need to be made.

 

Round 1

Tereshkin is sticking his right jab into Mazikin's face and then stepping in when Mazikin flaps down both fists in wide, slow counter flurries. Lots of clinching as Tereshkin steps into Mazikin behind the jab. A few lefts plugged into the gut by Tereshkin on the way in. Mazikin paws his left jab on the outside uselessly, chubby arms jiggling as he operates an invisible hand-crank.

So far Tereshkin is failing this assignment, looking pretty ordinary...

 

Round 2

Tereshkin is ducking in past the looping telegraphed right of Mazikin and throwing no-look 1-2s and hooking combos to body and head while bending over and rolling inside and then out again. Mazikin gets in a left hook on the cheek while Tereshkin is backing out but can't land a followup as Tereshkin climbs up and down his girth with light counters, tapping a spoon along the pudding's surface to make it quake.

Round 3

Tereshkin is dropping in combos on the body dancing in and out and holding Mazikin off with the right jab between the eyes. Mazikin goes down to a knee from accumulation, Tereshkin using a triple right jab feint and then colliding into him while burying a left uppercut into his flab, beating the count at five. Tereshkin is jumping in with the right jab up top, ducking and flurrying on the body, and either holding until a break or jumping outside before Mazikin can slam down on him with those big meaty ham-hocks.

Round 4

Long right jabs by Tereshkin while Mazikin lunges in hopelessly. Tereshkin lobs in an underhanded body combo. Mazikin is down on his knees again, once more beating the count halfway after basically taking a moment sucking wind and composing himself. Tereshkin dances in and out, jabbing Mazikin in the face. Drum rolls downstairs by Tereshkin, finishing with a left chop on the liver while Mazikin is holding, and Mazikin is down again. He grimaces while rising this time. Wide looping lefts by Tereshkin, trying to finish Mazikin with head shots but getting tied up and spending lots of energy missing. Stupid.

Round 5

Tereshkin is circling quickly to his left, forcing Mazikin to whirl attempting to face him. Tereshkin indeed seems to have gassed himself out a bit in the fourth, now content to circle and pot shot with light pecking right jabs up top and left hand leads on the belly. Mazikin plods after him with his left jab pawing out but is countered with body combos and 1-2s on the face.

Round 6

Tereshkin is bouncing in and flipping up the right jab, then galloping around Mazikin, ducking when Mazikin throws in wide scything slow shots. Tereshkin loses his gum shield. Back in. Tereshkin is tossing very soft right jabs into Mazikin's face and swatting at his gut with hooking combos bending forward. Mazikin clubs with his right forearm on the back of Tereshkin's head when he comes in.
