Usyk needs to do the damage a touch earlier in the damn round...still, I don't think this is going 6.

    Round 3

Usyk is landing the left hand on the face of Mendoza while easily circumventing his 1-2s with sidesteps and dodges moving in diagonals. Usyk plants his right foot, turned inward, just inside Mendoza's left, and works the right jab on the chest. Mendoza times a 1-2 and nearly skims it off the chin of Usyk but misses as Usyk pushes up on the balls of his feet and dances out with a few en pointe steps in reverse. Nice work off the right jab at mid-range by Usyk, setting up left hands when Mendoza is least expecting them, whipped up from the back hip at odd angles. HUGE LEFT CROSS and Mendoza is down again. Cleared to go. Usyk explodes on him in the corner with big 1-2s jumping in and out.

    10-8 Usyk

    30-25 Usyk

Damn Usyk is fun to watch. He's got all the tools to be an elite counterpuncher.

Overhand left right on the button. Mendoza survives the round 3.

He already is. The commentators were throwing Marco Huck's name around in Ukrainian. While I don't speak the language it's presumable they were suggesting Usyk getting in with him in the very near future, maybe within a year or so. That isn't the least bit unreasonable.

Usyk looks good, but he tends to rely a lot on the straight left. It is, however, a very educated (doctorate level) punch, so I can't really blame him.

Looks like Mendoza's corner threw in the towel in the fourth

I'm pretty sure Usyk is a future CW/HW champion

    Round 4

Huge right upper-hook by Usyk, rocking Mendoza badly. Usyk is forcing Mendoza to surrender ground, besieging him on the ropes with jabs and left crosses. Mendoza is pushing his jab while letting his bulk rest on the ropes. Mendoza hurls the overhand right in counter but misses wildly as Usyk skates outside and then boomerangs in with more hard combinations. Towel in from Mendoza's corner even as he punches back.

    TKO4!!!

Did you watch it on "Боксерский клуб" then the commentary is in Russian. Ukrainian channel is broadcasting 30-40 minutes behind

That is twice as fast as Chakhkiev got rid of Mendoza.

Heck, it's two rounds faster than Mansour did up at heavy. (genuine heavy, not "two cruisers slightly over the limit" as this was)

Sounds good to me- Marco would be a good test for him. Not that Huck's any risk to outskill him, but Marco does bring caveman-level toughness to match his caveman-level skills. If Usyk passes that test, I don't see any Cruiserweights hanging with him.
