Campillo is a former world champion. I saw Campillo beat the crap out of Cloud, but Don King's judges cheated him. The fans at ringside were booing like Hell. Kovalev easily stopped him. Campillo is top level. White was well regarded as he had beaten some good fighters, but Kovalev knocked him out as well.

Never said anything otherwise, just explaining why there is hype behind Kovalev to the thread starter, who seems to be somewhat ******ed.

:patsch Well OK, if you say so.

Clearly the buck stops with you as the supreme arbiter of who is and isn't world class. The other 99% of us are just wrong. Got it.

Hopkins,Pascal,Stevenson **** even Dawson after his last two losses is still world class.

Campillo doesnt have a single name on his record that suggests hes in the league of the above, just a few close decisions against guys like Karo Murat,Shumenov and Cloud who lets be honest still arnt in the league of the above guys I just named.

Kovalev has alot to prove so people need to stop hyping him,he hasnt done **** yet.

So hang on, we're actually going to slag off Cleverlys competition yet bum up Cornelius White as a good win? Who are these good fighters White has beaten? The first semi-decent opponent he faced stopped him in a round, this same fighter had just been dominated and beaten up in 7 rounds by Francisco ****ing Sierra in his previous fight!

As for Campillo, it was well documented even before the fight that Campillo had a TERRIBLE training camp and was not prepared at all, sure, it was still a good win but let's get some perspective here, Campillo looked like **** for a reason, he had only managed to get into the country 2 days before the fight!

Kovalev may be Cleverlys toughest test to date, but mark my words, Cleverly is BY FAR Kovalevs toughest test, and I see an 8-4 type UD for Cleverly

White was koed by Don George in 1 round, that tells you all you need to know about him.I keep seeing his name pop here as a good win.Karo Murat,Nadjib Mohammedi,Tony Bellew and Karo Murat are all better wins than Cornelius White and Gabriel Campillo.Yet people still big up Kovalev and slag off Cleverly, dont get it.

Thats who I'm referring to, Don George, who was badly beaten up by career journeyman Sierra in his previous fight before destroying White, I don't get it either, just hatred for Cleverly I guess, so White was stopped in a round by a super-middleweight and Campillo was not prepared at all (and has also been stopped before)

Yeah, these wins are way better than actually STOPPING Murat and beating Bellew in his hometown

I do like Kovalev but **** me the hype is way over-board in comparison to what he's actually done so far

The Hate for Clev is down to his 'Title' run which by anyones standards has been horrific.

Clev will be by far Kovalev's biggest test to date.

With Nathan getting caught as often as he does I suspect it is one he may pass.

Sure we can talk about the terrible title run all we want but based on names only and the circumstances (Campillos horrible preparation before the fight) Cleverly has the better record still

And is Kovalev particularly hard to hit? his opponents are usually on the defensive from the get go, let's turn the tables, how will Kovalev cope with Cleverlys non-stop work rate should this go into the mid-late rounds?

Kovalev is the new beast of the light heavyweight division,Bernard Hopkins ducked him,Cornelius White and Campillo both world class operators were blasted out by him with ease.He will get robbed in England by Cleverly and his crooked promotor and corrupt judges, this is the kind of bs Ive been reading on here the last few days.
Kovalev isnt gonna be given the chance to be robbed because hes gonna get outworked by Cleverly who will throw punches at him non stop for 12 rounds and not take a backward step, something that Kovalev has probably never had to deal with in his career.

  14. Jquiik Kovalev is the favourite. Kovalev has looked unbeatable so far, if you can't admit he has looked extremely impressive so far you have some sort of biased deluded hate towards something.

Jquik you are a ****stani I am assuming because of your Khan obsession? Well how can you diss fighters such as campillo and Kovalev when they are better than 99.99999% or 100% of every ****stani fighter that has ever laced up the gloves. If you race can't fight at all you can't say a word on here dissing boxing. I've noticed you are a very negative poster towards almost every fighter.

Kovalev is the favourite,ok if you say so ??

Im a ****stani,ok if you say so ?? (Im actually Irish but what that has to with anything we are talking about on here makes no sense)

The fact that you have brought race and ethnicity into a conversation about boxing tells me you are racist,I have nothing more to say to you.

    Get lost.
