The HW division needs two warriors like Liak and Brewster, but both guys are not the same since their war in 2006. I think we would see Brewster winning this time by k.o., although liak has a great chin. Brewster seems to have more left in his tank then Liak. i´d love to see Brewster - Valuev
I wouldn't want to see it because the level of fade on both guys would cheapen just how good that first fight was. If it did happen I'd have to take Sergei again because A. He was tactically better than Brewster in the first fight and that probably won't change. B. He's younger than Brewster. C. He's taken less punishment than Brewster. Sergei's problems have come from lack of conditioning. Those can be overcome. Neurology/loss of reflexes cannot.
Why the hell isn't this fight on youtube? I would like to think that Brewster could pull it off, but that is the fan inside of me talking. Official prediction, Im not sure.
I watched this with a few of my friends and they were like damn this is a good fight. Too bad all the Wlad fights they watched they didn't like. I would say Liak would outbox Brew to a UD. Liak got in trouble trying to brawl with Brew. Liak's trained was funny as hell yellin at him in between rounds.
He knocked out Danny Batchelder in the 5th round in a NABA title fight at the Cincinnati Gardens. Brewster dodn't look very sharp for the first 4 rounds, and Batchelder was actually outboxing him. In his defense, Brewster doesn't really care about winning on the scorecards... he almost always relies on his power to earn a stoppage, but the fact remains that for 4 rounds he did not look very sharp at all. His fight with Seldon got postponed due to Brewster getting sick the week of the fight. Perhaps another hidden factor was he probably hadn't sold enough tickets at Conseco Fieldhouse and maybe felt the turnout would be embarrassing so he was more willing to back out. As of right now, no date has been set, and it hasn't even been officially established whether this fight is still on. There is no news available on if/when the fight will take place. Last I heard around town is that Brewster was trying to reschedule the Seldon fight to take place at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Indy, but at this point who knows if this fight will ever go down. In a Brewster/Lyakhovich rematch, it is very hard to tell what would happen. I doubt it would be as entertaining as the first fight. I think Sergei would easily take the early rounds, but would tire due to his recent lack of heart/conditioning. I'd predict a Brewster win via TKO in the 9th in a surprisingly boring fight.
