    Helenius KO.

Since his ridiculously brutal slugfest war with Brewster in '06, the Shot Liakhovich has been stopped by Shot Briggs & decisioned wide by Valuev...

I don't know about Liakovitch's chances. He was losing badly to Evans Quinn but Quinn lost concentration and got KOed.

Who knows if the guy is back on track or whether this is hype. If LIakovitch is close to prime form it's a great fight.

Neither Liakhovich, or Brewster ever recovered from that war.

Liakhovich was never that good. Brewster has a habit of making fighters look great so great that they would tire from beating the living **** out of him and he'd KO them this didnt happen against Liakhovich. Liakhovich fought the fight of his life vs Brewster any other verison wouldve gotten stopped late.

    Helenius by mid round KO.

  7. He claimed an injury in the Valuev fight so maybe not as bad as it sounds, was his leg or knee can't remember exactly.

Liakovich was injured vs Valuev. That is why he lost. I didn't see the Quinn fight. Liakhovich has a high chance to defeat Helenius. Heed my warning Liakhovich is highly understimated and extremely dangerous.

Sergei never was able to get his career on track got upset early by Mo Harris

then got his shot vs Brewster

now i know Brewster was a warrior but he could be outboxed like Meehan did

but Brewster suffered a retina injury in that fight

so i always remembered wondering if him beating Brewster was a fluke or not or if he just did what those who failed couldnt do and survive the onslaught

well anyway he won in a war that he dominated after the knee from 9 on it was clear who won

ppl built him up i remember on the eastside main page articles saying how he could do vs Wlad and promoting the big showdown

then he laid an egg vs Briggs who was never great in a fight he was winning and never dazzled

lost to Valuev who seemed to have a career day in the ring

i dont know if sergei was ever the real deal or had his buster douglas moment where the stars seemed to just align

that said if he was the real deal her certainly isnt anymore

helenius may be green in longevity and experience but the kid can box and punch

dont know all that much about him other than highlights but he should win if he is as good as ppl are pumping him up to be

i really thought boystof was gonna bust into the scene 1st in the new era of Wlad challengers

ill take a helenius KO, if he could KO Peter i think he can stop the wolf

    Hey everyone first time post.

I have had the opportunity of having Sergei, his coaches, and his sparring partners use my facility to train for this fight. Sergei is looking really good and I know this will be a good fight. Of course I am biased, but I believe Sergei is going to take the W.

Does anyone know of a way to watch this fight in the US? I know someone said it will be aired on german tv, but if there is a live stream or something that would be amazing.

    Thank you guys!

This is a highly intriguing match-up. Sergei has become a mysterious X factor...easy to underestimate, but probably dangerous. Helenius best be careful, but winning it will do a lot to nail down a title shot, which I suspect he'll do.

Well, it appears that Sergei truly believes in himself, considering that he turned down a fight with Wlad or Vitali for 3x the amount he's making against Helenius.

“We were offered three times more money than this purse to fight one of the Klitschko brothers before Christmas,” Cardinale explained. “Sergei and I believe that there will be considerable more demand (and therefore much more money) for a Klitschko title fight following his defeat of Helenius. It was Sergei’s choice, and one I admire and respect

“Sergei is determined to win and more than ready to fight. Helenius is going to quickly find out that he is in the ring with someone he has not seen before -- an opponent as relentless, confident and skilled as Sergei.”
