Sergey Alexandrovich Kovalev vs. Anthony Yarde & Ilunga Makabu vs. Aleksei Papin RBR.

I hope Yarde is ok. He put everything he had to the table. Another great fight to watch. Congrats to both fighters.
I hate when younger fights get fatigued. It's a form of disrespect to the job they're doing. How can you afford to get more fatigued than a 36-year-old fighter which wasn't known for his especially good tank?

 

Not anymore.. he is slowed down. Gvozdyk and Bivol are much faster, younger

 

Canelo didn't get pummled in two fights with GGG... STOP IT!

 

Kovalev won his ticket to the Canelo big money fight, but Alvarez will absolutely stop Sergey. Especially with the rehydration clause.

 

Yarde was only a few low blows away from victory in the 8th.

 

im not sure canelo can get close enough to do the work though i believe Kov has quite a reach advantage. Maybe that is why Canelo stopped drug testing is to bulk up to try to have a shot.

 

yarde and his teams arrogance showed up and even with his roided up youth he couldn't get a clear past it kovalev who only won due to conditioning and experience. but at the same time people have to be real and understand that kovalev could easily knock out canela but hey kovalev hit the jackpot and will get paid for his last fight most likely.

 

Let's see them fight first & earn their shot at #1.

 

Man it sucks but Beterbiev would crush Kovalev at this stage, that fight would have been awesome about 4 years ago.

 

This is the highest note he could ask for to go out on.

That said, for purely economic reasons, he should take the Canelo payday even though we all know the body shots will do him in. He's gotten jobbed earnings wise for most of his career, he may as well take one fat paycheck into retirement.

 

Kovalev showed a lot of heart and grit to make it through that disaster of a round, but I could tell from the first round that he was severely declined. He looks shot to me. Canelo beats him.

 

I agree all the other younger champions beat Kovalev.

Kovalev is shot that is clear. He should retire now.

Yarde isn’t up to the elite level on this showing either. But he is much better than I thought he was
