Barrera unable to respond in kind, Bivol too on the ball with his reflexes, maneuvering his arms in just the right place to intercept. Barrera hurt by another headbutt, dazed badly, shakes it off in a hurry though and takes less than half a minute. Bivol stepping in and jabbing with Barrera, landing his counter jab first and using his outstretched arm to bat away Barrera's and create room to step outside safely. Hard incisive jabs from Bivol.

Bivol hurts Barrera with a combination. Bivol following up, increasing his sense of urgency throwing more power shots, and more forcefully, but not getting wild. Controlled but ruthless aggression. Barrera hurt again by a left hook just as he's getting his legs back. Full retreat for Barrera. Jabs from Bivol, pelting the guard of Barrera, keeping him from mounting an offense. Bivol cracks a right cross over the left ear of Barrera, partially blunted with a piece of Barrera's knuckle padding in the way but still clearly smarting. Bivol is using quick lateral movement to make Barrera miss, and then darting in from side-angles to jab hard & flush into Barrera's face. Barrera tries a far-reaching left hook on the body underneath Bivol's jab and grazes. Chased away with more jabs.
