Great result for Canelo, P4P number 1 now imo.

Had Kovalev up at the time of the stoppage, didn’t like SK’s game plan, didn’t like the constant tapping of gloves and was it in the contract he wasn’t allowed to punch his full weight?

Good victory for Canelo. Now get the 3rd GGG fight made.

 

He landed some good hooks for sure and was sitting on that shot. As you say it paid dividends. Unfortunately (incredibly so it seems) for some, Kov got ko'd.

There is a reason for that. After the Mayweather fight his resume is full of top fighters, but guess what?
Vast majority of them were way past their prime, with GGG past prime he had to use judges. He couldn’t win GGG legitimately. He failed doping test.
That’s more than enough for hatred.

There is a lot going behind the scenes. Sorry but Kovalev took a dive. End of the story, too much extra money plus a 2 fight DAZN contract if he loses to Canelo. Like or not, I don’t care.
