Not sure why people are trying to blame Dana and the UFC for the delay of the main event that should never of been on the same day in the 1st place robbing 1 of the biggest fights of the year and a knockout of the year contender of so many potential views

 

the worst thing canelo has ever done by far, is make sniveling girls out so many supposedly grown men. got you lying to yourselves trying to deal with reality, blowing smoke up your own ass about everything that happened, contradicting everything you said pre fight. its down right criminal.

 

I figured this level of stupidity will only come from yet another simple minded Golovkin fan.

 

That’s how I was scoring it in the beginning. Kovalev wasn’t doing much but Álvarez was not throwing much at all and hitting gloves when he did.

 

People calling it a dive? Wtf?
Talk about an Oscar worthy performance if true.

Dude was tired, took a shot to the temple that he didn´t see. Then took another clean shot the ear and while on shaky legs, and got clipped on the chin. But nah! No one gets knocked out from something like that

P.S. Eleider Alvarez isn´t a big puncher either, yet he brutalized Kovalev as well. Just like he did Bute, who was somewhat fragile as well.

 

For what it's worth I had Kovalev up 97 - 94 at the time of the stoppage.

 

Kovalev didn't have the right tactics after all. I figured he'd need a KO to win and he just didn't try for it.

Canelos bombs were slowly draining the life out of Kov.

 

What little life he already had, you know, with his old age, physically deteriorating status, and a debilitating rehydration clause, as well as being a future victim of the #MeToo movement. And add to that his alcoholism, the man was a live zombie.

I don’t make excuses for fighters, but I do agree with you about the rehydration clause. That makes boxing dangerous in my book. If you’re going to move up in weight and fight the champion, it should be on his terms.
