It will end in a controversial draw where Kovalev should have got the nod.

Kovalev should be embarrassed if he loses to Canelo. How can a brutal LHW with all the physical advantages lose to a man who boxed ****ing Amir Khan just three years ago?

Canelo late stoppage, The smaller faster fighter is going to beat the bigger slower older fighter, Kova can't take it anymore body or head I just can't see him winning.

Exactly, I just don't see Kova being a harder fight than ggg or Jacobs, people picking Kova are in for a big surprise, can't wait.

I think Kovalev hedged with the over. It's definitely Kovalev + something else but I can't be bothered to watch it again either. I already locked in Kovalev at +375, others should do the same if they like money.

Just watched Kov vs Alvarez II again

At one point Dre says that Kov doesn't go to the body

As he's saying it Kov rips 2 shots to the body lol

They kept pushing the Kov's a ''bully'' narrative

Kov tries to touch gloves with Alvarez after committing some kind of infringement and Alvarez shoots him down and refuses to touch gloves

The commentary team cites this as an example of Kov not being the bully anymore and criticizing him for trying (too hard) to be friendly with Alvarez. I've seen Kovalev do that in numerous different fights when he was in his prime (ie. back when he was ''the bully'') even after he'd been the one who'd been on the receiving end of the foul.

I think their main argument is the imponderables:
I was thinking the exact same minus Amir Khan. Kovalev can't lose this fight. It would be very problematic for him if that happens also I don't think Canelo will stay in the LHW division. So Kovalev would be left in total shame.

I see five acceptable outcome for Kovalev: KO, decision, controversial draw, fight canceled, he gets disqualified for hitting the ref in the nuts. But seriously, anything but losing to Canelo.

The jab is the key. I think he should watch Hearns vs. Duran. But let's face it, there are not many Thomas Hearns kind of fighters. But that style would be the best. Use his jab to get his frustrated and then counter when he steps inside and then hold. Not exchanges.

I wasn't all that in on this fight, probably because I don't like Canelo and it made me a little bias, but I'm very much into it now. I can't tell you how it goes, so many variables here. No, Kovalev isn't in his prime in the least bit but if any other LHW was fighting him I'd still call it a good fight. He seems more reserved wit his power shots now, which I guess is good for a 12 round strategy. Canelo tends not to move his feet too much, preferring to move his head and pivot out instead, so Kova is going to need to invest in the body himself. That'll be Canelo's game plan too but that's a long jab for him to try and counter.

Likely a close tactical fight. And if it's close, well we know how it's going. Canelo SD (he gets props from me still if the fight is close and he loses).

I think the Monzon vs Napoles comparison is an apt one.

But this is Canelo we're talking about..
