Sergey Alexandrovich Kovalev vs. Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán

I really hope Kovalev stops canelo and teaches golden boy a lesson, all this rehydration clause, judges in their pocket, past drugs cheat really stinks the sport out

 

so is anybody changing their vote over rehydration gate, or is it just something more to complain about but isnt really affecting anything?

 

I'm a pessimist and when you throw in the rehydration clause I think the most likely scenario is Canelo by decision. I hope I'm wrong and hope Kovalev TKOs him (of course for Kovalev to win by a decision he would have to have about 10 huge rounds).

 

Kovalev only rehydrates like 10 pounds anyways.

Kovalev seems to get a second wind 9-10 whereas Canelo fades out at that point. If the fight gets that far I expect Sergey to be hammering him. Canelo is going to look good early.

 

It's hard to predict, should be interesting though to see it unfold. Theater of the unexpected.

 

I think he's definitely slowed down, so that's less torque and power.
He's less fluid imo as well.

As you mentioned his gas tank isn't the best but McGirt seems to have some wonders there.

 

Wtf. He lost those rounds to Ward and didn’t see those rounds against Álvarez I and the Ward rematch.

 

I got Canelo on points, but not out of complete legitimacy.

1. I think the rehydration clause will have an effect, 2. Canelo will be able to target Krushers weakened body more effectively, and finally, 3. that the judges will favour him.

 

I just think he's sort of disproved that in his last two fights particularly the Alvarez rematch. I mean people thought he was done when he was stopped by Alvarez but then he bounced back with two good wins.
