Disagree on that. Nevertheless, I expect Canelo to look very sharp early.

Kovalev is 9/1 ud and 5/1 via ko

    very tempting

is this a cashout retirement for Kovalev? Quite possibly, I wouldn’t want anything to do with beterbiev after what he did to the nail the other week

also, it doesn’t seem that long ago krusher was fighting Yarde

This place must be the only place on earth that is favouring Kovalev.

Yeah not saying it is wrong or right but this place as usual tends to be a very polarising place in comparison to other Boxing communities on the internet...

Hold up, the clause is 185lbs. I can't find any recent (passed 3 years) information on Kovalev's fight night weights, but going back to 2015, his highest unofficial weight was 189 (against Pascal) and lowest 181 (against Sillakh in 2013). Assuming his weight over the passed 4 years has stayed consistent, I'm not seeing why a 185lb rehydration limit would have any real effect on him.

If that's the case maybe there isn't any need for the cynicism. Canelo likely is just using the clause as a safe guard to avoid the possibility, even if unlikely, of Kov opportunistically coming into the fight as much as 190+ pounds, seeing how Canelo's the smallest dude he's faced in years.

I already voted Canelo points and I'm gonna stick with it though. I think he'll outslick Kov defensively at the expense of doing enough offensively like usual, periodically close the distance to in-fight like Ward did, land some decent shots (particularly body shots, which might just be very effective), ultimately doing just enough persuade the judges (as opposed to most of us watching) he won the fight.

I make Canelo a big favourite in this one.

But a lot of posters here are passionately in favour of Kovalev winning.

The age, alcohol and diminished performances of Kovalev will be the deciding factors for me.

Kovalev will win, this is a bridge too far for even a skilled operator like Canelo

Yeah Canelo was worse than I thought.

    Apologies.

I really thought he'd have done better, instead of getting shoeshined all night by an old, weight drained has-been.
